I truly look like && While reading, please keep in mind that Jaypaw is about 8 moons old.

Jaypaw is a gray tabby with bright, sightless blue eyes. Yes, that's right. He's blind. The young gray tabby cannot see at all and thus has a greater sense of hearing and scent, as well as touch. Jaypaw's fur is great for blending in with nature, but though he cleans it, he never knows what it looks like because he has no ability to see. His pelt gets dirty fast because he runs into a lot of things because of his blindness and inability to see what is in front of his own nose.

Jaypaw is not average sized. He was the runt of his litter, the one that had the littlest hope of surviving, and it's a surprise that he survived until this age. Thus, you can imagine he's very small. In fact, he could easily hide himself in the ground. However, his small size doesn't mean he's easy to fling around. He's great at clinging to things and he's used to blasts of heat and hissing at his pelt.

His claws and teeth are very sharp, because even though he doesn't know how long they are, he still sharpens them. This causes him to be a tough opponent if ever in battle because his size allows him to have speed much faster than cats bigger than him, and his claws are sharp enough to take a deep cut in them.

Because of his lack of sight, he has another sense that other cats don't have which makes up for the lack of sight -- the sensing of other's feelings. He can tell exactly what somebody else is feeling or thinking unless they specifically block off their mind. This gives him an advantage in battle as he can use it to determine how close cats are and what move they are planning, and this makes him usually one step ahead of everyone. Of course, he usually abuses this power whenever he talks to someone which results in him being scolded and stared at oddly.

I got my looks from && His pelt comes dominantly from his father, who's now deceased -- his name is Sharpclaw. However, he got some of the tabby stripes from his mother, Dapplepelt. His blue eyes weren't inherited from his parents but rather from his grandfather, who had blue eyes. Obviously, his blindness was a birth defect. Some say that his blindness was a curse from EclipseClan because Dapplepelt was a medicine cat.

What makes me strong && Jaypaw is rarely frightened easily, can keep his cool in desperate situations, and has a strong sense of hearing and smell, as well as touch, which allows him to find prey much more easily than some other cats. Jaypaw is very smart, has a good memory, and has a close bond with EclipseClan. He also has power in his paws that not even he knows. He can also read minds and emotions. However, some memories leave him weak, and some grips on reality may be fatal, so he has to use caution when groping for memories and thoughts.

What makes me weak && Jaypaw is blind, and has no compassion for his Clanmates whatsoever. This gets him into trouble and fights in his own Clan. He also doesn't get along very well as a medicine cat; he lusts to be a warrior. He has no belief for EclipseClan's strength even though he is among the closest to the legendary sky Clan.

How I fight && Because of Jaypaw's inability to see anything, he must rely on his sense of hearing, smell, and touch to overcome his enemies. He often surprises them with how well he can detect where they are just by their paw movements and to avoid them without the help of his Clanmates. However, he cannot use the environment to his advantage and it ends up costing him. Because he's a medicine cat apprentice, anyway, he rarely fights battles. However, he can fight with medicine if he wants; he knows very well how to use them.

If it's dark out, like it's night, it wouldn't impair Jaypaw at all. This comes to his advantage, so typically he wants to fight during the night time and not during the day. However, he isn't afraid of fighting any time during the day, and will fight regardless of it. He sometimes holds himself in high regard, however, on his fighting skills, and ends up embarrassing himself some of the time.

This is who I really am && The first impression that Jaypaw gives off is in multiple waves. For one, he absolutely hates it when cats judge him based off of his sight, especially if they have sympathy for him or think that he can't do things other cats can. He keeps trying to prove that he can be a warrior and perhaps even become top cat around. However, most don't believe him. This has caused his personality to be molded into a sarcastic, mean cat attitude. He doesn't like having casual conversations that much and usually keeps silent unless he has a biting insult to say. He prefers to keep to himself and swells with pride whenever he does something someone else can't. He doesn't like most cats because of their sympathy of him, and he always wants to prove he can do what other cats can.

Jaypaw is a real strategist in battle. He's smart and he knows how to identify herbs immediately after sniffing them. He usually keeps silent in battle and uses his strategy to read minds to his advantage. He prefers to avoid battle but he likes to show off in battle and prove how strong he really is. This causes him to get overly confident which is one of his greatest weaknesses when fighting other cats, and when he grows overly confident, he usually falls in battle. He also won't fight anywhere where he doesn't know the environment well.

Jaypaw, for some reason, is close to EclipseClan. However, he doesn't believe in them. He believes they are just like normal cats that can predict the future, and they have no ability whatsoever to help the cats that are stuck in the mortal world. Though he dreams of them, he usually doesn't believe in their powers as everyone goes on about. Only they can change fate, and EclipseClan is only to warn them of their fate, or as Jaypaw believes. This results in others scolding him when he says "What's so special about EclipseClan?" in front of someone else.

Though Jaypaw seems horrible on the outside, on the inside and in desperate situations he's actually a lot more insecure and afraid than everyone takes him as. He tries to stay calm outwardly and doesn't fuss as everyone else does, but when he does fuss, he can really panic just as any other cat would. Though he tries to act tough there are some times when stress can overcome him. As well, on the inside Jaypaw is a much softer cat. He's kind to cats that are weak and will treat them best he can, and he also loves playing with others. He cares a lot for others even though there is never a time when he's going to show any sympathy. He's also eternally loyal to his Clan and would die for it.

Shorter version, for those who won't read && Jaypaw was born in a litter of six. However, when they were born, a disease was sweeping through, and killled the weakest two, Feralkit and Bouncekit. Sharpclaw and Dapplepelt nursed them, until a wolf attack occurred and the two of them were killed. Jaypaw, as Jaykit, nearly drowned, but Frostheart had saved him.The apprentice of Dapplepelt became a medicine cat by force, and Jaypaw, who was lusting to be a warrior, became medicine cat apprentice because of his relationship with EclipseClan.
